It's My Last Year of Being 20... What a Great Birthday!!

It has been one of my best birthday EVER. It was so great that 2 days later I am still thinking about it. What made it so great??? Well, Saturday night I meet my family at Don Jose's for some chips in salsa and to celebrate. We celebrated Becky's 30th birthday and Little Brian's 2nd birthday as well. Becky was very thoughtful and made a chocolate birthday cake and Aunt Lara showed Little Brian that it was ok to put your fingers in the entire cake and eat it right there. I know, I know... bad Aunt Lara. lol. Aunt Lara also found a new favorite desert for Little Brian... Flan. He loved it! After Dinner we all went to Aunt Deb's to relax in the spa and just hang out.
On Sunday morning I woke up and Jim took me out shopping for 2 new outfit and when we returned from shopping, Jim's Dad had made us his famous breakfast.
After breakfast I got my birthday present from my Hubby. Jim surprised me with 2 tickets to see the play, Dirty Dancing at the Pantages Theatre. The show started at 6:30pm so before the play we went to Disneyland. Our friends, Katie and Jarrod were at Disneyland as well so we got to hang out with them for a few hours. The play was AMAZING. So much fun!!! They played all the song which of course I sang along too. Johnny Castle even said the most famous line of the movie, "Nobody puts baby in the corner!" Everyone wistled and cheered. To fun!!!
Both Jim and I have never been to a Play like this before. We both had such a fun time, we cant wait to go to another Play.

A Very Exciting, Fun and Suprising 2 Weeks...

There has been so much going on in our lives and both Jim and I have been on the go for two weeks straight. So just to explain, the fun began on June 6th...

For months now, Aunt Lynne, Becky and I have been planning a SURPRISE Retirement & Good-Bye Party for My Parents. We got sneeky and took my Mom's address book to get names and addresses. We also "hacked " into my Mom's email account to get email addresses of friends and family. To throw my Parent's off about any party, Jim and I said we were going to take them to a restuarant that we saw on TV but we would not tell them where it was. hahaha... I even saw my Dad looking through his book "Drive Thru's, Diners and Dives" to see if he could figure it out.

On the big day, all the kids met an Aunt Lynne's to set up at 9am. The party was a western theme with red gingham table clothes, bandana's, cowboy boots, buckets of peanuts and votive candles as table decoations. For food we had rib, chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, pasta salad, potato salad, corn on the cob, a chocolate fountain and the very famous Texas Caviar. It was a hit.

We also had a DJ, a Charicture artist and a Roast/Toast to our Parent's. It was so great to see friends and family that came in from all over. Aunt Sally, Ed and Patty flew in from Sacramento. My Dad's college friends came from Paso Robles, and our Aunt Linda and Uncle Craig drove from San Diego. As if the party was not enough of a surprise, we hid Brian, Becky and the grandbabies. You should have seen my Parents faces. It was awesome!!!

On Sunday we met Aunt Sally for breakfast and later in the afternoon we took family pictures. I will post the family pictures later.

The Happiest Place on Earth

As if the weekend was not eventful enough we planned a trip to the Happiest Place On Earth... DISNEYLAND!!! What a blast! It was Me, Jim, Mom, Dad, Danny, Holly, Brian, Becky, Little B, Lucas and Joe. It was amuzing to watch little Brian admire the Character from a far and then freak out when they got to close. Hopefully he is not tramatized for life. We spent a full 12 hours and during those 12 hours I fell in love. In love with Lucas. Now to get me wrong, I still love Little Brian and He will always be my Tooters. Both the boys had a great time and I think all the adults had a blast looking at Disneyland through their eyes. I talk all the time about Disneyland having the best pickles ever and my Dad agrees. Then Dad introduce Lucas to pickles. Lucas' face was priceless and he kept coming back for more. We watched the parade, went on rides, walked through Toon Town and did a little bit of shopping.

It was a happy day and the Happiest Place on Earth.
