On Saturday we had Chris 5th birthday. His theme was Super Mario Brothers and his Mom and Grandma did a good job with all the decorations and cake to make that theme happen. Jim and I got Chris the Nintendo DS game that he wanted and has stated that he LOVES his game!!! Johnny, Rachel and their 3 girls were down and as always we had fun to hang out with them. Here are a few picture from the after party as well.

Yummy...Yummy...Yummy!!!
While my Brother was here visiting he gave me a gift from Becky. It's a book called Block Parties and Poker Nights and in the note from Becky she challeneged me to throw a party as intructed in the book. Challenge excepted! I have always want to be able to throw a great parties and be an ultimate hostess. Since we live in a new community our neighbors, Jim and I always talk about having block parties too. So this book was perfect.
On Thursday night Jim's Cousin and family were going to spend the night. It was not a happy occasion since the reason they were in town was for a funeral. I knew Friday was going to be busy so I thought it would be good to make sure that they alteast had a good breakfast and a cup of coffee before the day began. So I looked through the receipe book and found an Egg and Sausage Casserole. I have never made an actual casserole before so I thought it would be fun to try it out. After I got the casserole prepared for the next morning I found out that plans had changed and Jim family would not be staying at the house on Thursday night. I was a bit disappointed but it was understandable. On Friday morning I got up at 6am as I planned and cooked the casserole anyways. Jim and I had a piece and we took the rest down to his Parent's house to eat and guess what??? It was a hit!!! woohoo!!! Jim parents loved it and told everyone at Chris' 5th birthday party about the casserole that I made. Now people are requesting the receipe, I am sooo excited. I can't wait to make more reciepes. I might just be the next Rachel Ray. hehehe...

Kisses and Love from Superman
I can't believe the 5 days are already over and Brian and little Brian are already on the plane back to Alambama. It was great to see my Brother and hang out. And of course it goes without saying that I was thrilled to see my nephew too. We shared toys, fry fries, drool, kisses and his sippy cup. He had us all laughing with tears in our eyes right before I left for the night. He loved Grandpa's water and Grandpa let him have it which LB then had it everywhere! I guess you had to be there but trust me, it was funny. So after my Superman gave me kisses and loves his Daddy put him to bed and I had to say my good byes. I think this might have been the best 5 days of Grandma's summer. :)

He's here!!!
Brian and little Brian, My Tooters, flew in yesterday from AL. We had so much fun hanging out. Grandma had lots of toys to plays with and I think LB and I played with all of them. He is now walking which is soooo adorable. I brought my two dogs down as well. Hannah ran away from LB everytime LB came close to her and Lucy thought is was fun to have someone around who was her hieght. She really wanted LB's pacifier. We ate Mom's famous tacos and at one point LB had beans in his eye...ewww. Me, LB and Grandma walked around to the neighborhood to show off the grandbaby to the neighbors. Grandma actually carried LB through the neighborhood and I think we learned a valuable lesson. Go buy a stroller, one year olds are to heavy to carry!!! :) Uncle Danny came home from work and LB was so excited. Danny is so good with kids and LB loved all the attention. We are going back to visit later this week and I can't wait!!!

The Incredible Dragons
My nephew, Chris, had his first soccer game on Saturday. It was so much fun to watch his team, The Incredible Dragons. The kids are from ages 4-6 and are just learning about soccer. Chris had the whole family there to cheer him on. His Mom, Dad, Brother and Sister as well as Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Meem and me.

I Couldn't Handle It!!!
Most of you know this about me but I will share anyways. I like all my cans in the pantry facing forward with labels showing, in my refrigerator everything is front faced, I fold my towel a certain way and will not let Jim fold them because he doesn’t fold them right. My dishes are colorized and I like to have my clothes in the closets colorized as well. I like to go to a restaurant and see all the sugar packets facing one way and the colors not mixed. If they are not that way I will fix them while I wait for my meal (sugar, sweet n low then equal). I like my money all in the same direction and the face of the bill facing up and my poker chips lined up evenly. Atleast until Jim's friend's realized that I have them even and then the poker chips get knocked over.
So, need less to say... I had to fix my layout on my Blog because it was driving me nuts!!! For some reason my profile and links were at the bottom of the page instead of being on the side of the page. So, I tried to deal with it but every time I looked at my page it drove me bonkers. I do not have any posts but the next 6 weekends are going to be jam packed so I will have pictures and stories to share. We are going to Vegas, a Wedding, My little Brother is coming to California with my nephew (though it will not be the same without Becky), Birthday parties, a Labor Day BBQ and we are going to the lake. Fun, fun and more fun!!!
