The Halloween Party

After a week of cleaning and preping for the Halloween Party and 5 hours of cleaning to get my house back in order, our Halloween Party has come and gone. It was great to see everyone in their costumes. I think that was my favorite part. It was so much fun to watch everyone stop and turn when the door bell rang to see who it was and what they chose to be for Halloween. The laughter was none stop. Some costume were funny, some were scary and other chose toshow their sexy side. We had music and dancing inside and a firepit outside. Everyone had a great time and after a long night of partying we finally laid in bed at 2:59am.

Small Things

Today was just an average day at work until something great happened. I got a picture message of my Nephew, Brian, which absolutley made my day. It really surprised me how one small gesture can change a persons attitude. So a big Thank You to Brian and Becky for sending me a picture of my little man. He is so stinkin adorable!!!

Before and After

This Saturday, Jim and I are having a Halloween Party. Normally we have the annual Halloween Party at Jennifer's house (my SIL) but we get the pleasure (aka. stress) of having it at our house. So, need less to say I am stressing myself out and in return driving Jim crazy. I want the house to be perfect. On Saturday I deep cleaned the Master Bathroom and cleaned out our closet. I gave away 4 large black trash bags of Jim and my clothes. That was a job in itself. Today, after work and dinner I decided to tackle the computer room. I can honestly say with embarassment that the pictures do not do it justice. The room was terrible!!! Hannah has not been able get to the papasan for months now. There was a small walkway from the door to the computer and sometime we could get to the window to open it. Sooo.. here are my before and after pictures. Jim was very sweet and dusted the months of dirt for me.

I don't know what happened or how that room became the collect all but I promise we are not normally that messy. ha-ha. really!

Back to the Basics

Katie, Kristi and I started Weight Watchers again. Katie started Weight Watchers last week and when she checked in at the meeting she had lost 6 lbs. I am so proud of her. 6 lbs in one week takes a lot of dedication and planning. Especially with a 9 month old and a Hubby to feed at the same time. We had a girls day at her house on the Sunday before our WW meeting and she made pizza potatoes wedges which were really good. 2 points for 2 potato wedges. yummy!!!
So, I am determined to lose weight though I have not done terrible by myself. About 2 months ago when I went to the doctor's I was the heaviest I have ever been. I could not believe what the scale was saying. Lies, It was all lies. :) I have made an effort to really think about what I am eating and think if I am full or satisfied when I am eating. I joke with Jim an say "I feel satisfied" and he always give me a look like I am crazy. So when I weighted in at the meeting I had lost 11 lbs since they weighted me at the doctor's. I don't have a working scale at home and I kinda like it that way. I could go buy batteries for our scale but I know I would weight myself everyday. Besides, I think not having a scale is working better for me. So, I am hoping to lose 4 lbs this week which will put me below a certain number. of course I can't tell you that number that embarrassing. :) hehehe...

Family Poker Night

On Saturday, Jim's family came over for dinner and poker. We had lagsana, salad and garlic bread which was so yummy. The weather has started to change and having the oven on was nice. It got cold enough that I brought out the hot chocolate to warm up. It was actually 39 degrees when we looked at the tempature before we went ot bed.

I love the picture of Chris and Lucy all cuddled up on the sofa. I think they both were exhausted.

Lucas Wesley Mitchell

The newest addition to the Mitchell family is here!!! Lucas Wesley was born on 10/5/08 and weighed 8 lb 11oz, 22 inches long. We are all so excited to welcome Lucas into the family. Mom, Dad and little B are all doing good as well. Now I have another nephew to spoil as much as I can. hehehe... It so fun being an Aunt.
